British Dyslexia Association Associates: Diagnostic Assessors
The BDA have changed the way we operate our diagnostic assessment service. We have set up a new service for self-funded assessments and now hold a BDA Approved Assessors list. Following a successful application, the cost to be added to the list is £100 per year. Once you are added to the list we refer clients requesting an assessment in your area to you directly. For each successful referral the BDA will charge you £120 including VAT. You provide your own biography that we send to the client, this is where you list your assessment fee. This must include the BDA £120 referral fee.
Please complete and return the application form by email to assessments@bdadyslexia.org.uk and include the following information:
- APC (HCPC for psychologists)
- AMBDA (in some circumstances other professional memberships may be acceptable)
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
- DBS (within the last 3 years) or details of the update service along with your D of B
- A copy of an anonymised report (using the new SASC report format if you are a Specialist Teacher)
- A photo of your assessment room
TUTOR FOR PROFESSIONAL LEVEL TRAINING FOR DYSCALCULIA AND MATHS LEARNING DIFFICULTIES
We are looking for a Tutor for a Professional Level Training for Dyscalculia and Maths Learning Difficulties to join our team.
You would be one of a team of tutors directly reporting to the Course Leader. The BDA delivers a wide range of training activities to educators, employers, employees and individuals through open courses, onsite courses and E-learning. Training is across all levels from basic awareness through to programmes leading to professional accreditation.
Hours of work: Two days but may increase as number of candidates grows.
Full-time, Temporary | Contract length: 12 months
Salary: £31,000.00 per year pro rata, 2 days.
