Lynn Lovell - Head of Professional Standards

My name is Lynn and my passion is ensuring high standards of assessment and support for individuals who face barriers to education, the workplace or in daily life. I have completed an MA in Specific Learning Difficulties with a focus on developing self-esteem for those with dyslexia.

I am an experienced dyslexia and dyscalculia assessor and have an Assessment Practising Certificate and AMBDA/AMBDA Dyscalculia. I started my educational career as a teaching assistant, which I loved as I saw the difference support can make in the classroom and during intervention.

I then progressed to become a specialist teacher in secondary and FE/HE settings and an Acting SENCo. Currently I am Head of Professional Standards at the British Dyslexia Association, advising and guiding on high standards of practice.
