Children Will Shine workshops

The British Dyslexia Association runs Children Will Shine after school workshops offering specialist dyslexia intervention at an affordable price. These workshops are run by specialist teachers, teaching assistants and parents to support literacy, numeracy, personal organisation, promote self-esteem and advise how to maximise positive dyslexic strengths.

The aim of these workshops is for children to:

• Access affordable specialist teaching programmes
• Be taught in small groups
• Access self-esteem support
• Meet children with similar needs
• Reach their potential

Sessions can include topics such as study skills, reading, spelling and touch-typing. Parents will also get to meet other parents to share information and ideas. Children Will Shine works at grassroots level to enable children to reach their true potential.

Where is 'Children Will Shine' available?

Currently we have Children Will Shine workshops in:

• Barnet, North London
• Bracknell, Berkshire
• Croydon, Surrey
• Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
• Southwark, South London

Please note that Bracknell, Barnet and Southwark workshops are not taking place at the current time, please contact Peterborough and Croydon about their arrangements.
