This free live webinar is for anyone who would appreciate a short session simply introducing the changes in JCQ regulations relating to Access Arrangements for 2020/21.

This webinar will introduce the changes for 2020/2021 to the following JCQ documents:
- Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments (AARA)
- Instructions for Conducting Exams (ICE)
- General Regulations
The JCQ make it easy to spot the changes each year by highlighting the major modifications in yellow in the access arrangements booklet. However, colleagues have expressed interest in a webinar simply covering the changes, and this is it.
Caroline Read (Commicate-ed)
Caroline is a Specialist Teacher who has practical experience in all areas of the Access Arrangements process and trains for LAs, Universities and SEN Services. Caroline’s book ‘Assessment Guidance for Access Arrangements’ was published by GL Assessment, and she contributed to the PATOSS/JCQ publication ‘Dyslexia: Assessing the need for Access Arrangements’. Her work has also been published in academic journals, by the TES and the RNIB, and she has worked with various publishers to develop tests. She was part of the working party which set up ‘Access Arrangements Online’ and has been involved with other DfE and Ofqual training and policy projects.
Lia Castiglione (Commicate-ed)
Lia has been teaching and supporting learners of all ages for over 25 years and in varying educational settings. She is a specialist teacher who is highly experienced in all aspects of access arrangements, has held a current Assessment Practising Certificate since 2008 and regularly assesses in schools and colleges. Lia is the co-creator of a postgraduate access arrangements assessor course and is the author of the Patoss/JCQ book, ‘Assessing the Need for Access Arrangements.’
Louise Green (PATOSS)
Louise was assessed as being both dyslexic and dyspraxic as an adult, which explained the difficulties she has had with accuracy in reading and spelling all her life. She has been assessing both students and adults since she gained her RSA Diploma in 1989. She holds a practising certificate and teaching certificate, both issued by Patoss, and regularly assesses for access arrangements and the DSA. She currently teaches at an independent and a state school in Bucks, and carries out assessments at Bucks New Uni and various schools in Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and London.
