Thank you to our volunteers!
Wednesday 1 June 2022
The British Dyslexia Association is using Volunteers Week as a time to say thanks to our network of over 100 volunteers who work tirelessly with us in achieving our goals.
We are especially excited to be celebrating this year as it's 50 years since the British Dyslexia Association was founded!
Volunteers’ Week is an opportunity to recognise and thank volunteers across our organisation. This year, the 37th annual #VolunteersWeek is taking place during the Month of Community, this is a campaign launched by The Eden Project Communities to create a focus point to encourage us all to think about and join in with a wide variety of activities happening within our local community.
We have a variety of volunteers working with the BDA from our media-savvy Campaign Volunteers, our very resourceful Helpline volunteers to our ambassadors, all of which help spread the message and raise awareness for a more dyslexic-friendly society.
We are taking this week to share the stories of some of our volunteers, taking the time to listen and appreciate their journeys and why they selflessly give up their time for others.
You can get involved by sharing your story on social media, tagging the BDA and using #BDA50Years or check out our volunteers page.
