The European Day of Persons with Disabilities 2016
Friday 9 December 2016
We have recently witnessed the 10th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD), and with it came the European Day of Persons with Disabilities 2016.
Over 400 people attended the two-day conference on the 29 - 30th November, discussing the progress that has been made in the European Union to promote the rights of persons with a disability in line with the CRPD.
The British Dyslexia Association is part of the EDA (European Dyslexia Association). Bengt-Erik Johansson is a member of the EDA board, representing them at the event, whilst Dr. Kate Saunders, CEO of the BDA also holds a valuable position on the board.
