How to become an SpLD assessor with BDA accreditation

To become an assessor for either dyslexia or dyscalculia who holds AMBDA, you need to successfully complete a relevant postgraduate (Level 7) AMBDA accredited course. On successfully completing an AMBDA accredited course you can apply for AMBDA/AMBDA FE/HE/AMBDA dyscalculia and an APC with the BDA within three years of your end date.

AMBDA/AMBDA FE/HE/AMBDA dyscalculia are BDA accreditations which recognise the assessor’s skills in both specialist teaching and assessment.
