The strategies presented will be tried and tested Multi-sensory Techniques Susie has used with different students through the various ages and stages of education on a shoestring. These range from Early Years, to Key Stages 1-5, and can be applied to a variety of subjects.
- Understand ‘Multi-sensory Teaching’
- Actively discuss in a range of Multi-sensory teaching activities for the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stages 1-5.
- Be able to apply specific techniques listed in the ‘Multi-sensory Toolkit’ and from the latest ‘Dyslexia Friendly Schools Good Practice Guide’ to a wide range of subjects for dyslexic students.

Dr Susie Nyman will be showcasing her ‘Multi-sensory Toolkit Ideas on a Shoestring’ based on 25 years teaching at Farnborough Sixth Form College and 7 years at The Oratory School. Her work is published in ‘The Multi-sensory Teaching Toolkit’ by Oaka Books and video footage is available on YouTube.
